IMAS FOR GROUPS
Whether you have a group of 5th Graders, College Students, or Winter Texans, IMAS Group Packages provide you with an engaging and exciting experience in the world of art and science. Chaperones: Groups are required to provide 1 chaperone for every 10 students. Special needs groups and Preschool-Kindergarten groups are encouraged to provide 1 chaperone for every 5 students. All chaperones meeting the above ratio receive free admission, but there is a charge for programs, presentations, and special exhibitions. Any adults above and beyond the 1:10 or 1:5 ratios will be charged the package rate.
Availability: Group Packages are available Tuesday & Wednesday from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Thursday & Friday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Group Size: Group pricing applies to all groups with more than 10 students.
Lunch: Lunch space reservations are required when making your group reservation. Please allow 30 minutes for lunch. Due to space availability, lunch areas are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations: All Group Packages require a reservation and a 50 % nonrefundable deposit upon booking. *Spanish-speaking groups are available upon request.
Young Explorers: Preschool-Kindergarten AND Explorers: Grades 1st-8th
Packages include self-guided exploration time in our Fine Art Galleries and science exhibits, and your choice of either an Animal Talk or Science on a Sphere presentation. Young Explorer Programs also include a hands-on activity and story time*.
Cost: $4 per student
Young Explorer & Explorer Add-Ons
Enhance your Young Explorers or Explorers program with the addition of extra activities to make your time spent at IMAS extra special! Topics range from Hands-On Science & Art Programs, Science On a Sphere Presentations, or Animal Talks.
Cost: $2 extra per person (including chaperones).
Cost: $6 per participant
Duration: 1 hour
Adult Tours are 1 hour and are customized for your group. Half of your tour will be spent in an art gallery of your choice and the remaining time in the IMAS Theatre, which hosts the Science On a Sphere exhibit. IMAS is pleased to offer guided tours to your group organization, and will work closely with your group to design a specialized tour that will enhance your experience.
