The Public Humanities Roundtable Series presents “The Art of Food”. This roundtable will bring together humanities scholars and artists from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and South Texas College (STC), as well as local farmers and entrepreneurs to discuss the importance, meaning, and production of food during holiday seasons. Moderated by Gina R. Otvos (Coordinator, STC Library Art Galleries), the conversation will shed light on the cultural and social context and meanings of holiday foods locally, regionally, nationally, internationally, and across borders.
The Public Humanities Roundtable Series is a collaboration between UTRGV’s School of Interdisciplinary Programs and Community Engagement and STC’s Art Department and Library Galleries.
