December 5, 2020 – March 6, 2021

Guided by Curiosity is the culmination of four virtual exhibitions curated by members of the museum’s education staff brought together in one gallery. These four curators have found objects in the museum’s permanent collection that sparked their curiosity in subject matter they were interested in and wished to know more about. Guided by Curiosity will bring you in to see how birds interact and methods of early naturists to document them, and into intriguing, and turbulent influence Spanish colonization had on the artistic and religious practices of the peoples of Mexico through pottery, textiles, and iconography.

Exhibition curated by Lisa Moreno, Valerie Escamilla, Yelitza Garcia & Veronica Cortez.
