IMAS is accepting membership donations through Visionary Membership purchases and individual restricted donations to serve families who qualify for Membership for All (WIC/EBT). These memberships will be granted as a scholarship to low-income families by application each year. A direct, restricted donation of $25 can fully fund one Family membership through the Pay It Forward Membership Fund.

Applications will be accepted June 1 through August 31 each year for the Pay It Forward membership program, and memberships will be issued in September of that year and will be active through the following calendar year. Applications will be available online and in person at IMAS beginning June 1.

Travel Passport Program

As a member of a science center or museum participating in the ASTC Travel Passport Program, you are eligible for benefits such as free general admission when you travel outside of your local area. Exclusions apply and benefits vary.

Before you travel, here are some ASTC guidelines:

  • Review the science center or museum’s family admittance policy.
  • Pack your ID (or other proof of residence). Admissions staff reserve the right to request proof of residence for benefits to apply.
  • Pack your museum membership card. Participating venues are not required to grant benefits to visitors who forget their cards. There is no universal database with all Passport Program visitors’ member data and expiration dates for admission staff to reference. Some venues will allow you to call the science center or museum you joined to confirm your membership, but they are under no obligation to do so. ASTC does not issue or administer membership cards.
  • Either the primary or secondary adults need to be present at the time of check-in.

Sponsored memberships are only available to first-time members who qualify for state assistance programs such as SNAP and WIC and are limited to available funds.

By supporting the Pay It Forward Fund, we can work together to begin shaping tomorrow’s leaders in important cultural and STEM fields.
