Introducing: Inaugural MemberJuried Art Show

IMAS is pleased to announce our inaugural MemberJuried Art Show in Fall of 2021. Inclusion in this exhibition of original artwork is open only to IMAS members.

Juror: Nancy Moyer, Professor Emerita of Art

Participating artists must be 18 years of age or older and a museum member in good standing. Member artists may submit up to two works of art created within the past three years; one work is guaranteed to be included in the exhibition, the other may be juried in. Up to two adults from the same household may participate if they have a Family membership.  No work can be larger than 4 x 5’, work must be movable by the artist, sculpture must include a base or stand, and no liquids, live plants or animals are allowed. Key Dates

  • Artwork Drop-off: Saturday, September 25 from 10AM-5PM & Monday, September 27 from 4-6:30PM
  • Declined Artwork Pick-up: Saturday, October 2 & Monday, October 4
  • Opening Reception: Saturday, October 9
  • Exhibited Artwork Pick-up: Monday, January 24, 4:00-6:30 PM & Saturday, January 29, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM

Awards

Works will be juried across the entire exhibition. Award recipients will be notified prior to the reception and awards will be noted on exhibition labels.

  • Best of Show $500
  • Second Place $300
  • Third Place $200
  • 3 Honorable Mentions $50

Entry Requirements

  • Current Museum membership renewed for the 2021 calendar year; up to two adults from the same household address may participate if they have a Family membership or higher level.

  • Up to two entries per member; one guaranteed acceptance.

  • All artworks must be display ready; wall pieces must have hanging wire (no saw tooth hangers accepted).

  • No work can be larger than 4 x 5’, work must be movable by the artist, sculpture must include a base or stand, and no liquids, live plants or animals are allowed.

  • All works must have been created in the last three years and not previously exhibited at the Museum.

  • Accepted artwork must remain on display through Jan 23, 2022.
