The IMAS Guild invites community members to enter the 2025 International Museum of Art & Science Christmas Tree Forest.
This year’s theme is “Christmas in a Science Lab” and is organized by the IMAS Guild.
Applications to participate are due October 1 or until filled.
The Christmas Tree Forest will be installed in mid-November at the IMAS. Each participating organization will create their tree ornamentation in advance and decorate the tree in accordance to the theme. The long-standing tradition of hand-made ornaments and decorations is one that the community looks forward to every year. This exhibit showcases the creativity and ingenuity of our community from pre-schoolers through adult groups!
Trees will be on exhibit from December 3, 2025 through January 4, 2026.
The IMAS Guild is a volunteer organization of women who support the museum through volunteerism and by raising funds for the museum’s exhibitions, cultural events, and education programs.

Key Dates
Application Deadline
- Applications are due by October 1, 2025 (or until filled).
- The deadline will be extended only if trees are still available.
- A notice will be posted here once all trees have been claimed and registration capacity has been reached.
Tree Decorating Days
- Groups may come during the following times to decorate their tree:
- Thursday, November 13, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m
- Friday, November 14, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m..
- Saturday, November 15, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday, November 16, 2025: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- All decorations must be complete and ready for installation upon arrival.
- Participants must bring all necessary supplies, including a step stool if needed.
- Judging will take place after the decorating period concludes.
Tree Removal
Groups must remove their tree decorations during this window.
- Friday, January 9, 2026 : 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday, January 10, 2026 : 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday, January 11, 2026: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Any decorations left behind after January 19, 2026, will be disposed of by museum staff.
