3rd Annual Homeschool Science Fair
RGV Homeschoolers are invited to enter the museum’s third annual Homeschool Science Fair on Friday, May 5! Categories include Kinder, 1st-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th.
Projects will be judged based on creativity, use of the scientific process, and verbal presentation during judging on the morning of May 5. Kinder projects will not be judged for placing but students are encouraged to practice their presentation skills.
In the case students need to borrow specific supplies and tools, the museum is able to loan items out. This includes lab equipment such as goggles, beakers, pipettes, and other tools like multimeters. Loan items are due back by May 7.
A science fair prep session will take place on April 4 at 2:00 p.m. for students to drop in to receive guidance on their project or use the Ann Moore Art Studio to decorate their board.
Families and friends are welcome to attend the reception on Friday, May 5 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Discovery Pavilion. Entry is the cost of general admission, though each participating student will receive two complimentary adult passes. Projects will be on display at the museum through Sunday, May 7.
