This fall, the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) celebrates the remarkable creativity flourishing within its own community with the return of the 6th Annual Members’ Juried Art Show (MJAS). Bringing together an inspiring selection of works created by IMAS members, this highly anticipated exhibition highlights the diverse perspectives, artistic talent, and boundless imagination of artists from across the region. Through MJAS, IMAS continues its commitment to providing a platform for local artists to share their work, connect with the community, and inspire audiences through the power of art and will be on view from Saturday, October 17, 2026, through January 17, 2027, and is supported by Edward Jones – Cassandra Moreno.

At the heart of the Members’ Juried Art Show (MJAS) is a celebration of the artists who make up the IMAS community. Now in its sixth year, this annual exhibition provides IMAS members with an opportunity to share their creativity, perspectives, and original works with audiences throughout the Rio Grande Valley. From first-time exhibitors and emerging artists to seasoned creators, MJAS brings together a diverse range of artistic voices and offers members a professional platform to showcase their work at the International Museum of Art & Science.

IMAS Curator Marcelo Ramirez Garcia-Rojas encourages adult artists to become IMAS members and take part in this annual celebration of member creativity.

“The Members’ Juried Art Show is an opportunity for artists to not only share their work, but to become part of a larger creative community,” said Ramirez. “It creates a space for artists across the Rio Grande Valley to connect with like-minded individuals, build relationships with fellow artists, and expand their networks and reach. Whether they are emerging artists or more established creators, participants have the opportunity to meet people who share their passion for the arts while gaining greater visibility for their work within the community.”

Current IMAS members ages 18 and older may enter up to two original works of art. Membership levels determine the number of eligible artists per membership, with individual and duo memberships eligible for one artist and household and select group memberships eligible for up to two artists.
