Lunar New Year 2022 at IMAS

Celebrate the Year of the Tiger at the International Museum of Art & Science on Sunday, January 30 from 1-5 p.m. The 10th annual event will feature traditional Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese crafts, calligraphy and games, and special vendors. Activities include Chinese red envelopes, learning Korean alphabet, tiger crafts, and K-pop bingo. Fan painting is available for an additional $2 per participant (limited supply).

Museum from Home at IMAS

Museum from Home workshops are an at-home experience for students to go in depth on specific art or science concepts. A live Zoom webinar is hosted by an IMAS Educator to lead participants through a hands-on lesson. Supplies are included in an activity kit to be picked up via curbside prior to the workshop date.

Surrealist Collage
January 19 @ 4 PM

Facebook Live, Online Pre-registration (limited quantity)

Create a work of art inspired by your dreams! Learn Surrealist collage techniques to explore creativity and create an unusual narrative. Recommended for ages 12+ (sharp object included in kit). This workshop is inspired by “Imagined Worlds: Exploring the Carlos Melguizo Collection,” currently on view at the IMAS.

Kit pickup is Saturday, January 15 from 10 AM-1 PM & 2-5 PM via curbside at the IMAS. Tune into the live workshop on January 19 on the IMAS Facebook.
