Homeschool Days: Anatomy

Homeschool Days are in-person workshops that explore art and science concepts in depth through hands-on activities. Pre-registration encouraged as seats are limited.

RGV Homeschoolers are invited to enter the museum’s third annual Homeschool Science Fair on Friday, May 5!

Categories include Kinder, 1st-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th.

Brew-seum is a fundraiser to benefit the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) and supports year-round Art & Science education in the Rio Grande Valley.

Brew-seum events celebrate the region’s ever-growing love and curiosity for the world’s oldest fermented beverage. Celebrate the International Museum of Art & Science and the love of craft beer on Saturday, April 15, 2023!

Young Adventurers: Nature Art
Saturday, April 22

Nature Art: Celebrate Earth Day by creating nature inspired suncatchers in the museum’s outdoor courtyard.

Young Adventurers is an early childhood program that fosters decision-making skills, fine motor function, literacy, and creative expression through artmaking. These exciting pre-K workshops run 30-40 minutes, including snack time. For ages 3-6 with accompanying adult.

Workshop Time: 10:00 – 10:40 AM
Price for Child & Adult: $5 ($3 Members)

IMAS Summer Camp

Operation Imagination Summer Camp

Operation Imagination: Summer Camp is back with exciting themes in addition to camp favorites from the past.

Online enrollment is now open! Camps run Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with exceptions for weeks 3 and 7. Drop off runs from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and pick up run from 3:00-3:30 p.m.

Camp includes engaging activities, museum exhibit exploration, outdoor recess and an afternoon snack. Campers must have a reusable water bottle. Lunch through McAllen ISD’s summer feeding program is offered for all campers. Campers with dietary needs are welcome to bring their own lunch and snacks.

International Museum of Art & Science IMAS

IMAS Admission Price Changes Effective October 1, 2022

Regular admission is $5 with discounted $3 for children ages 4-12, students with an ID and senior citizens 65+. Museums for All (WIC/EBT) discount is $1 up to four people per card.
