The Guadalupe el Torrero (GeT) Foundation is honored to collaborate with the IMAS to present the artwork of students from Brewster School and San Isidro School. Middle school students from Brewster and San Isidro submitted artworks for the inaugural GeT Foundation Art Contest. The goals of this contest focused on encouraging students to produce art and connect with their creativity at school through drawing, photography, painting, and digital art.
The Guadalupe el Torrero (GeT) Foundation promotes the arts and education along the borderland of South Texas and Mexico to foster collaborations between the arts and sciences to connect artists, students, and our community with the world.
The purpose of these GeT Art Contest awards are to support education and advancing the creative works of students, artists, and their teachers working on studies related to the arts and sciences. These awards encourage students to pursue their passion in the arts, because their success aligns with the mission statement of the GeT Foundation.
The GeT Foundation sends its sincerest thanks to these students’ teachers and parents, Adam Cantu at Brewster School in the ECISD and Verónica López at San Isidro School from the San Isidro ISD, for their mentorship and support. The GeT Foundation is grateful to Carlos Limas, MFA and Angela Scardigno, MFA for their curatorial leadership in this exhibition.

La fundación Guadalupe el Torrero (GeT) tiene el honor de colaborar con el personal de IMAS para presentar el arte de estudiantes de secundaria de la Escuela Brewster y la Escuela de San Isidro. Los estudiantes de secundaria entregaron sus trabajos para el concurso de inauguración de la fundación. Los propósitos de la convocatoria se enfocan en alentar a los estudiantes a que produzcan arte y se conecten con la creatividad en la escuela a través del dibujo, fotografía, pintura y arte digital.
La fundación Guadalupe el Torrero (GeT) promueve las artes y educación a lo largo de la tierra fronteriza del Sur de Texas y México para apoyar colaboraciones de las artes y ciencias para conectar artistas, estudiantes y a la comunidad con el mundo exterior.
El propósito de estos concursos hechos por la fundación GeT es para apoyar a la educación y promover la creatividad en los estudiantes, artistas y sus maestros que realizan sus estudios relacionados con Arte y Ciencia. El concurso los motiva a seguir su pasión por el arte, así alineándose con la misión de la Fundación en sí.
La fundación GeT manda sus más sinceros agradecimientos a los maestros de los niños participantes como Adam Cantu de la Escuela Brewster y Verónica Lopez de la Escuela de San Isidro por su apoyo y enseñanzas.
