IMAS Partners with McAllen ISD for Summer Feeding Program
McAllen, TX – The International Museum of Art & Science is pleased to announce that it will be participating in the McAllen ISD’s Summer Feeding Program.
McAllen ISD’s annual Summer Feeding Program will serve free, nutritious meals at participating feeding sites to children 18 years of age and under this summer. Children do not have to be a McAllen ISD student to participate in the program. Meals will be provided at several sites across McAllen, many of them twice per day, at a mixture of school and community sites.
The Summer Feeding Program will be available Monday through Thursday at IMAS starting Monday, June 5 until August 3, 2023, closed only for two federal holidays, June 19 and July 4. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by snacks from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m.
Children will be required to dine in as pre-Covid regulations resume this year, and meals must be consumed on site. No documents or proof of income are required. Children can enjoy a hot meal at any of the locations throughout the City of McAllen, including schools, City of McAllen facilities, splash pads, parks, or places of worship.
