Operation Imagination Winter Camp Schedule

2:00-3:30 PM – Webinar Sessions via Zoom w/ IMAS Camp Staff (for registered campers, kit purchase required)

Campers may participate in online and digital activities with IMAS camp staff and affiliated speakers. All online webinars will take place through the meeting platform Zoom as scheduled below.

Monday-Thursday (2:00-3:30 PM)

1:55 PM – Parent/guardian helps camper join webinar through private invite. Camp staff moderator mutes all campers and monitors incoming participants, while camp staff facilitator verbally welcomes campers and leads discussion. Video is optional but encouraged.

2:002:30 PM – Webinar Activity: Campers participate in a Webinar Activity that encourages critical and quick thinking, such as charades, Pictionary, I Spy, etc.

2:30-3:30 PM – Show & Tell: Campers take a turn showing what they made and sharing what they learned that day.

Campers will need internet connection and a computer/tablet to access these sessions. An invitation to join these sessions will be sent to the parent/guardian’s email provided on the Camper Information Form. The links and instructions for joining webinar sessions will be sent the first day of the camp week. There is no additional cost to access Zoom webinars for camp.

The webinar experiences are created for campers to work independently with camp staff and other campers, though an adult should be present in the room with the camper in the event of an emergency.

To maintain a positive camp experience and ensure online safety, all parents/guardians are asked to follow the following privacy guidelines.

  • The IMAS encourages an adult be present in the same space/room as the camper when attending live webinar sessions with camp staff.
  • Webinar sessions are designed for campers. To prevent disruptions, parents/guardians should not actively participate in the sessions, although parents/guardians should assist their camper with technical issues and remain in the same space/room.
  • Do not video record, audio record, photograph, live stream, or transmit in any other way any part of the webinar sessions, including not posting on any social media platform, so camper information remains confidential.
  • You are responsible for your camper’s use of digital resources.

We understand that a household may have more than one child. While it may be okay to all listen in on the meetings, only the registered child may participate actively in the webinar. You are granted access to the number of camp kits you’ve purchased (example: 2 kits = 2 campers on webinar). We welcome campers in the same household to use a single computer/tablet to prevent audio feedback.

The IMAS has a no refund policy. All proceeds benefit the IMAS, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and cancellations or no-shows will be retained as a donation to the museum.

For virtual camp, you can tune in at any time after free content is posted to complete the camp activities. For paid kits, single days will not be offered. The kit is being sold in its entirety.
